انطلق المؤتمر الوطني الأول لبحوث المزارعين في جامعة ميدا ويلا بو، حيث اجتمع المزارعون لتبادل خبراتهم ومعارفهم الأصلية.

يتيح المؤتمر للمزارعين مشاركة تجاربهم من حياتهم الزراعية وعرض ممارساتهم التقليدية. كما يعد منتدى لمناقشة التحديات والحصول على آراء الباحثين الجامعيين.

صرح رئيس الجامعة الدكتور برهان مسكل تينا بأن المزارعين يضمنون ازدهار إثيوبيا من خلال اجتهادهم وجودة إنتاجهم. وأشار إلى أن الحدث يدمج المعارف المكتسبة من الميدان ويسهل تبادل الأفكار بين المزارعين.

أكد المشاركون أن المزارعين يواصلون الإسهام في تطوير الثروة الحيوانية والمحاصيل رغم نقص الإمدادات التكنولوجية.
