This follows circulating reports suggesting demands for money linked to recruitment at the facility. Chief Executive Officer Dr Zeinab Gura emphasized that all hiring follows relevant laws and hospital policies.
Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) has found itself at the center of recruitment scam allegations, with circulating reports indicating demands for payments from job seekers. In an official statement, the hospital has firmly denied these claims, stating that it does not charge, request, authorize, or approve any payments or inducements related to recruitment or employment.
Chief Executive Officer Dr Zeinab Gura said, “KUTRRH does not charge, request, authorize, or approve any payments or inducements in relation to recruitment or employment.” The hospital has launched an internal review process to assess the allegations, and any conduct inconsistent with institutional policies or the law will face appropriate administrative and legal action, including cooperation with relevant authorities.
The public is advised to exercise caution and engage only through KUTRRH’s official recruitment channels. Suspected cases of misconduct or misrepresentation can be reported via the hospital’s official website (www.kutrrh.go.ke/report-corruption/), the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, or other appropriate authorities. KUTRRH has reaffirmed its commitment to lawful, transparent, and ethical governance, pledging continued cooperation with any lawful inquiries.
Dr Gura added, “We remain committed to ensuring that all recruitment processes are fair, transparent, and free from any form of inducement or corruption.” This incident follows warnings from several other leading Kenyan hospitals about fraudulent job schemes, such as those flagged by Amazing Hope Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital, which have cautioned the public against scams involving payments for medical examinations or processing fees.
