البرلمان يرفض مزاعم منح قانون الجمعيات التعاونية الجديد روتو السيطرة على المدخرات

أوضحت الجمعية الوطنية أن مشروع قانون الجمعيات التعاونية للادخار والائتمان (تعديل) لعام 2025 المقترح لا يمنح الرئيس ويليام روتو سيطرة على مدخرات أعضاء هذه الجمعيات.

في بيان صدر يوم الأربعاء 15 يوليو، ذكر البرلمان أن مشروع القانون لا يتضمن أي بند يسمح للرئيس بتعيين لجان إدارة الجمعيات التعاونية للادخار والائتمان. وستظل هذه اللجان منتخبة من قبل أعضاء الجمعيات المعنية.

وأشار البرلمان إلى أن مشروع القانون معروض حالياً أمام اللجنة البرلمانية للتجارة والصناعة والتعاونيات من أجل المشاركة العامة. وأضاف أن المزاعم القائلة بأن مشروع القانون يتم تمريره على عجل لا أساس لها من الصحة، حيث تم نشره في 30 يونيو 2025.

وينص مشروع القانون على إنشاء جمعية تعاونية ثانوية مقتصرة فقط على الجمعيات التعاونية الأولية لتحسين الوصول إلى منصات الدفع وتقديم الخدمات، ولن تقوم بإقراض الأموال للأفراد أو الحكومة.
