Red Bull Ford Powertrains has emerged as the benchmark in Formula 1's first ADUO period, prompting the team to request a review of the results before they are made public.

During the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, the FIA informed teams that Red Bull's internal combustion engine ranked highest in V6 performance. Mercedes trails by 2-4 percent and qualifies for one upgrade this season plus one in 2027, while Ferrari, Audi and Honda each receive two upgrades per year as they lag by more than 4 percent.

The public announcement has been delayed because Red Bull asked the FIA to verify the data. The governing body began additional sensor and data checks on Monday and expects the process to last between seven and 10 days.

Max Verstappen described the outcome as surprising. "We were all a little bit surprised with that news," he said in Barcelona. "We're just surprised what came out."

Only the internal combustion engine is measured for the rankings, yet qualifying manufacturers may also modify electrical components. FIA single-seater director Nikolas Tombazis noted that manufacturers themselves chose this measurement approach last year.
