Justitskansleren afviser erstatning til PFAS-ofre i Kallinge

Justitskansleren afsiger i dag en afgørelse om erstatningskrav fra PFAS-ramte beboere i Kallinge. Staten afviser erstatning med henvisning til forældelsesfristen.

Medlemmer af PFAS-foreningen har krævet erstatning fra staten for personskade og krænkelser af menneskerettighederne. De blev berørt efter at have drukket vand med høje PFAS-niveauer fra Ronneby kommunes vandværk i Brantafors frem til december 2013.

Vandet blev forurenet af brandskum, som det svenske forsvar brugte under øvelser ved Kallinge flyveplads. Skummet indeholdt PFAS, som ikke nedbrydes i naturen.

Foreningen har tidligere vundet retten til erstatning fra Ronneby kommune i Højesteret. Justitskansleren siger nej til statslig erstatning med henvisning til forældelsesfristen.
