Regeringen vurderer gasforsyningen som sikker

Økonomiministeriet ser ingen trussel mod forsyningssikkerheden trods lave gaslagerniveauer. De nuværende lagerniveauer ligger på omkring 28 procent.

Statssekretær for økonomi Frank Wetzel udtalte som svar på en forespørgsel fra De Grønne, at vurderingen af forsyningssituationen ikke udelukkende afhænger af de enkelte lagerniveauer. Der er ingen tegn på et dysfunktionelt marked.

Gaslagerniveauerne har i månedsvis ligget i den lave ende af flerårsgennemsnittet. Eksperter tvivler på, om de lovmæssigt fastlagte mål om 80 procent den 1. oktober og 90 procent den 1. november kan nås.

Økonomiminister Katherina Reiche behandler emnet med forsigtighed. Baggrunden er bekymringen for, at regeringens udmeldinger om påfyldning af lagrene kan drive priserne op.
