Regierung hält Gasversorgung für gesichert

Das Bundeswirtschaftsministerium sieht trotz niedriger Gasspeicherfüllstände keine Gefahr für die Versorgungssicherheit. Aktuell liegen die Werte bei rund 28 Prozent.

Wirtschaftsstaatssekretär Frank Wetzel erklärte in einer Antwort auf eine Anfrage der Grünen, dass die Beurteilung der Versorgungslage nicht allein auf einzelne Speicherfüllstände abstelle. Es gebe keine Anzeichen für einen dysfunktionalen Markt.

Der Füllstand der Gasspeicher bewegt sich seit Monaten am unteren Rand des mehrjährigen Durchschnitts. Experten zweifeln daran, ob die gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Werte von 80 Prozent bis zum 1. Oktober und 90 Prozent bis zum 1. November erreicht werden können.

Bundeswirtschaftsministerin Katherina Reiche behandelt das Thema zurückhaltend. Hintergrund ist die Sorge, dass staatliche Ankündigungen zur Befüllung die Preise in die Höhe treiben könnten.
