County board pushes for water and sewage expansion in Falun villages

Residents in Enviksbyn, north of Falun, are trying to avoid connection to the municipal water and sewage network, while villages closer to Falun have been informed of expansion by 2038.

Recently, it was reported that residents in Enviksbyn, about 30 kilometers north of Falun, are resisting connection to the municipal water and sewage system. This occurs amid pressure from the county administrative board to expand the VA network in several villages around Falun.

In the villages of Uggelviken/Kopparbergs-Hökviken, Österå, and Önsbacken/Västanbäck, which are closer to Falun, inhabitants have received notice that the expansion will be completed by 2038 at the latest. The work is scheduled between 2030 and 2038, according to information from falukuriren.se. Many villagers welcome the development, which improves access to clean water and sewage services.

The county board's efforts aim to address regional infrastructure needs, but they also spark discussions about local preferences in more remote areas like Enviksbyn. The article is by Eric Salomonsson.
