Galatasaray-Fans feiern Meisterschaft mit Jubel in Berlin

Türkischstämmige Fußballfans haben am Samstagabend in Berlin den Titelgewinn von Galatasaray in der türkischen Liga gefeiert. Die Polizei berichtete von mehreren Hundert Teilnehmern, die vor allem am Kurfürstendamm zusammenkamen.

Galatasaray sicherte sich den Meistertitel mit einem 4:2-Sieg gegen Antalyaspor in Istanbul. Die Mannschaft liegt damit uneinholbar vor dem Stadtrivalen Fenerbahçe.

In Berlin versammelten sich zunächst wenige Dutzend Fans am Breitscheidplatz. Innerhalb einer Stunde wuchs die Gruppe auf Hunderte an. Viele fuhren mit Autos und Motorrädern, die mit Vereinsfahnen geschmückt waren.

Die Polizei sprach von einer niedrigen vierstelligen Zahl an Feiernden. Fans zündeten Pyrotechnik, doch es kam zu keinen Krawallen. Beamte hielten Pfefferspray bereit, setzten es aber nicht ein.

Im Vorjahr hatten ähnliche Feiern zu schweren Tumulten geführt. Damals wurden 33 Polizisten verletzt und 34 Fans festgenommen.
