Berlin: 15 festnahmen bei nakba-demonstration

Rund 2.000 Menschen zogen am 15. Mai in Berlin anlässlich des palästinensischen Gedenktags Nakba durch die Stadt. Die Polizei nahm 15 Personen vorläufig fest.

Die Demonstration erinnerte an die Flucht und Vertreibung hunderttausender Palästinenser im Jahr 1948. Teilnehmer skandierten verbotene Parolen, und es kam zu Angriffen auf Polizeikräfte sowie Journalisten. Eine Polizistin erlitt leichte Verletzungen.

Veranstalter berichteten von 30 Verletzten durch den Einsatz von Pfefferspray. Die Polizei teilte mit, dass die Festnahmen wegen Straftaten während des Aufzugs erfolgten.

Ähnliche Kundgebungen fanden auch in Frankfurt am Main und London statt. In den Vorjahren hatte es bei vergleichbaren Veranstaltungen in Berlin wiederholt zu Ausschreitungen gekommen.
