Jack Antonoff hat öffentlich Musiker kritisiert, die künstliche Intelligenz zur Erstellung von Songs einsetzen. Der Frontmann der Bleachers veröffentlichte am 13. Mai eine Notiz auf Instagram, in der er KI-gestützte Arbeit als Verrat am kreativen Prozess bezeichnete.

Antonoff nannte diejenigen, die sich die Technologie zunutze machen, „gottlose Verräter“ und forderte sie auf, „direkt über die Klippe zu fahren“. Er beschrieb die traditionelle Musikproduktion als „uraltes Ritual“, das Schreiben, Aufnehmen und Live-Auftritte mit einer Band beinhaltet. Seiner Ansicht nach verkennen Versuche, diesen Prozess zu optimieren oder zu beschleunigen, den eigentlichen Kern. Er fügte hinzu, dass die neuen Künstler, die er kennt, sich weiterhin auf Arbeit konzentrieren, die „aus dem Inneren kommt“.
