Nordwestkommando ist bereit, jeden Angriff abzuwehren, sagt General

Der stellvertretende Generalstabschef, General Abebaw Tadesse, erklärte, das Nordwestkommando sei darauf vorbereitet, Angriffen historischer Feinde oder Banditen entgegenzutreten.

General Abebaw Tadesse äußerte sich während eines Besuchs des Einsatzgebiets des Kommandos. Er betonte, dass das Kommando seine Verteidigungsaufgaben mit Heldenmut erfülle.

Das Kommando habe eine wichtige Rolle bei der Abwehr von Invasionen der TPLF gespielt und sei entschlossen gegen die extremistische inländische Gruppe vorgegangen, die versucht habe, Unruhen in der Amhara-Region zu stiften, sagte er. Er forderte die Truppen auf, das heldenhafte Erbe ihrer Väter zu wahren, um Äthiopien für künftige Generationen zu schützen.
