Brazilian publisher Afil Games announced it will no longer release games on PlayStation platforms after Sony introduced stricter publishing guidelines. The studio's existing library of more than 140 titles will be removed from the PlayStation Store in the near future.
Afil Games shared the update on X on June 23, 2026. The company stated that PlayStation has ended its partnership due to new guidelines that conflict with its business model focused on casual games often used for trophy hunting.
The publisher thanked PlayStation players for their support and confirmed it will continue releasing titles on Xbox One, Xbox Series, the Microsoft Store, and Nintendo Switch. Games affected include Chico's Delivery, Chippy's Stash, and Cat Pipes.
Sony has removed thousands of similar low-effort titles from multiple publishers this year as part of efforts to reduce shovelware on the store.
