Un estadounidense intenta pedir asilo en Mallorca por miedo a las políticas de Trump

Un ciudadano estadounidense de 34 años acudió este miércoles a la Guardia Civil en Felanitx para solicitar asilo político alegando temor a las políticas de Donald Trump.

El solicitante se presentó en las dependencias de la Guardia Civil en Felanitx para explicar su situación y tramitar la solicitud. Los agentes le indicaron que ese cuartel no era el órgano competente para este tipo de trámites.

A pesar de la indicación, el hombre insistió en que se registrara su petición de asilo político. Los guardias civiles recogieron sus datos personales, la documentación necesaria y realizaron fotocopias para trasladar la solicitud a la Policía Nacional.

La petición será evaluada por la administración competente, que determinará si se cumplen las condiciones previstas en la legislación internacional y española para conceder la protección internacional.
