El estudio de EVE Online cambia su nombre a Fenris Creations

El desarrollador y editor islandés detrás del longevo MMO espacial EVE Online ha cambiado su nombre de Crowd Control Protections a Fenris Creations. La decisión se produce tras años de confusión con el Partido Comunista Chino y coincide con la recompra de la compañía a su anterior propietario, Pearl Abyss.

El director ejecutivo, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, señaló que el cambio de marca responde a una creciente colisión de nombres. Indicó que los periodistas se han referido al estudio como el "otro CCP" y que los empleados han enfrentado interrogatorios en las fronteras de Estados Unidos debido al nombre. La empresa decidió no disputar la abreviatura con la organización política.
