Suspenden la venta de helados de un vendedor ambulante en Hong Kong por presencia de bacterias

Las autoridades de Hong Kong ordenaron a un vendedor ambulante de helados con licencia en Central que detuviera la venta de helados suaves después de que una muestra revelara niveles de bacterias coliformes superiores al límite legal permitido.

El Centro para la Seguridad Alimentaria del Departamento de Higiene Alimentaria y Ambiental informó el jueves que la muestra contenía 310 bacterias coliformes por gramo. Esta cifra supera en más de tres veces el límite de 100 por gramo establecido por el Reglamento de Productos de Confitería Congelados.

El organismo de control notificó al titular de la licencia sobre la irregularidad y ordenó al vendedor detener inmediatamente la venta y desechar todos los productos de helado suave afectados. Los funcionarios también instruyeron al operador para que lleve a cabo una desinfección exhaustiva de la furgoneta y proporcione capacitación en seguridad e higiene alimentaria al responsable.

“El hecho de que el recuento de coliformes excediera el límite legal indica que las condiciones higiénicas no eran satisfactorias, pero no significa que el consumo vaya a provocar una intoxicación alimentaria”, señaló un portavoz del centro. Las autoridades no hicieron pública la identidad del vendedor.
