Isinama ang El Nido sa Palawan sa listahan ng BBC ng walong pinakamahusay na beach escapes sa mundo, ayon sa Department of Tourism. MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo ng Department of Tourism noong Lunes, Abril 1, na isinama ang El Nido sa Palawan sa listahan ng British Broadcasting Corporation ng walong pinakamahusay na beach escapes sa mundo.
Bumisita roon ang BBC journalist na si Francis Augustin at pinuri ang mga hidden beaches at lagoons. "My family, friends, and I booked a tour with a local speedboat crew, spending the day cutting across the crisp blue waters of Bacuit Bay in search of secluded beaches and lagoons. Among these limestone island clusters, we swam, kayaked and snorkeled before anchoring in a solitary beach cove where our guides set up a meal of traditional Filipino meat and seafood dishes," aniya.
Binanggit din niya ang mga mainland beaches tulad ng Las Cabanas, Lio at Corong Corong para sa pagrerelax at panoorin ang sunset. Ayon kay DOT OIC Secretary Verna Buensuceso, "Citations such as these affirm the beauty and prestige of the many treasures that we boast to the world. This recognition proves that El Nido, like our other coastal destinations, can offer the same level of quality vacations as our global counterparts."
Nagkakaroon na rin ng pansin ang El Nido bilang cruise destination. Noong Enero, dumating ang luxury liner MV Luminara na may higit 200 turista, na nag-explore sa Coron at Puerto Princesa. Sumali ang El Nido sa mga destinasyon mula New York, Italy, Puerto Rico, India, St. Maarten, Scotland at Tasmania sa listahan ng BBC na nagpapahalaga sa hindi siksik na, tunay na lugar.
