Red Bull is investigating a rear wing failure that caused Max Verstappen to crash during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The issue marks the second consecutive race weekend with a similar problem for the four-time world champion.
The failures occurred at different points in the wing mechanism, according to Verstappen. He described the incidents as "super dangerous" and noted they produced the same outcome despite distinct causes.
Red Bull technical officials, including Laurent Mekies, said the team will leave "no stone unturned" in its review. All options remain open for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, including reverting to a conventional rear wing design.
The team introduced its rotating rear wing concept in Miami after development began in November 2025. The design reduces drag but has now led to two crashes.
McLaren has also developed a similar system but has delayed its use due to safety concerns, choosing not to run it at Spielberg or Silverstone.
