Naglabas ang Taiwan ng bagong gabay na nagbibigay-daan sa mga tahanan na umempleyo ng migrant domestic helpers, na inaasahang kailanganin ng hanggang 1.2 milyong tahanan ang mga nanny at household service workers. Sinabi ni migration expert Emmanuel Geslani na handang-handa ang Pilipinas na magbigay ng workers dahil sa malaking pool ng experienced domestic helpers. “The Philippines has a large supply of experienced domestic helpers, and Filipino workers have an advantage due to their experience and English-speaking skills, which make them competitive in the international labor market,” aniya. Magtatagisan sila sa Indonesia, Vietnam, at Thailand, ngunit may kalamangan ang mga Pinoy sa English skills.
