L'AFA interdit de monter sur le ballon et instaure un carton jaune

L'Association du football argentin (AFA) a interdit mercredi aux joueurs des tournois locaux de monter sur le ballon, sanctionnant cet acte d'un carton jaune et d'un coup franc indirect pour l'adversaire. Cette décision fait suite à une action de Julián Palacios lors du match Unión-Estudiantes samedi. L'AFA considère qu'il s'agit d'un comportement antisportif qui suscite des conflits et des risques.

La Direction technique de l'AFA a annoncé cette règle après la défaite 2-1 de l'Unión face à Estudiantes, durant laquelle Palacios avait posé le pied sur le ballon.

"Cela découle d'un comportement spécifique qui a causé des perturbations dans l'environnement de jeu. Cette pratique, qui génère de nombreuses confrontations, nuit considérablement à l'image d'un sport ayant une large portée nationale et internationale", a déclaré l'AFA dans son communiqué.

L'instance a également souligné le risque de blessure pour le joueur ainsi que les perturbations lors des matchs. "Il existe diverses circonstances dans lesquelles un joueur doit être averti d'un carton jaune pour comportement antisportif, notamment en cas de manque de respect pour l'esprit du football", ont-ils justifié.

La règle reflète un précédent brésilien datant du 5 avril, lorsque la Confédération brésilienne de football a imposé la même sanction pour "manque de respect envers le football", appliquée lors du match du Championnat sud-américain des moins de 17 ans entre le Brésil et la Bolivie.
