X s'engage à accélérer le traitement des contenus haineux au Royaume-Uni

L'Ofcom a annoncé que X s'est engagé à accélérer le traitement des signalements relatifs aux contenus haineux et terroristes au Royaume-Uni. La plateforme examinera ces contenus dans un délai moyen de 24 heures et bannira les comptes liés à des activités terroristes illégales.

Ces engagements font suite aux inquiétudes concernant la montée des discours de haine sur la plateforme depuis son changement de nom, anciennement Twitter. X a déclaré qu'il évaluerait 85 % des contenus haineux signalés dans un délai maximal de 48 heures et qu'il collaborerait avec des experts britanniques sur les questions liées au terrorisme. L'accès aux comptes publiant du contenu terroriste illégal et gérés par ou pour des groupes terroristes sera restreint dans le pays.
