Noelia Castillo, la venticinquenne paraplegica di Barcellona, ha annunciato ad Antena 3 che riceverà l'eutanasia questo giovedì, 26 marzo. L'annuncio arriva nello stesso giorno in cui la Corte europea dei diritti dell'uomo (CEDU) ha respinto l'ultimo ricorso cautelare presentato dal padre, Gerónimo Castillo, rappresentato da Abogados Cristianos.

Noelia Castillo, 25 anni e paraplegica dal tentativo di suicidio nell'ottobre 2022 a seguito di una violenza sessuale di gruppo, ha richiesto l'eutanasia nell'aprile 2024. La Commissione di Garanzia e Valutazione della Catalogna (CGAC) l'ha approvata all'unanimità il 18 luglio 2024, poiché soddisfaceva i requisiti di legge: situazione clinica non recuperabile con grave dipendenza, dolore e sofferenza cronica.
