Hong Kong's national security police have arrested a 26-year-old woman on suspicion of taking part in illegal drills as part of ongoing operations against a group accused of conducting military-style combat training aimed at subverting the government. A police spokesman said on Sunday that she was taken into custody on Friday night on suspicion of committing the offence of “unlawful drilling” under the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance. She was later released on bail and is required to report back in mid-January.

Meanwhile, police charged two men, aged 24 and 25, with one count of conspiracy to commit subversion. The case will be mentioned at West Kowloon Court on Monday. The pair were among nine men, aged 20 to 25, arrested in the same operation last week, after officers raided a factory in San Po Kong and premises in Tuen Mun and Yau Ma Tei on Thursday night.

Police seized several suspected explosive devices, at least five converted air guns, two converted air pistols, five counterfeit military knives, a counterfeit long sword and a 3D printer, along with embroidered patches carrying anti-government slogans. The operation highlights Hong Kong authorities' intensified enforcement on national security matters.
