한화솔루션은 지난 3월 26일 2.4조원 규모의 유상증자를 발표했으나 비판을 받았다. 4월 9일 FSS의 첫 지시에 따라 규모를 1.8조원으로 줄였지만, 두 번째 지시를 받았다.
회사는 글로벌 태양광 및 석유화학 시장 침체로 재무 구조 개선과 신용등급 하락 방지를 위해 자금 조달이 필요하다고 설명했다. "감독원의 요청을 진지하게 받아들이며 주주와 언론 피드백을 반영한 재수정안을 제출하겠다"고 밝혔다.
