한화오션은 7월 2일 한국의 차세대 해군 구축함 사업에서 우선협상대상자로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
한화오션은 규제 공시를 통해 방위사업청이 7월 1일 자사 선정을 통보했다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 6,000톤급 이지스 구축함 6척을 국내 기술로 건조하는 KDDX 프로그램이다. 한화오션은 경쟁사 HD현대중공업을 제쳤다.
이 구축함들은 현재 해군의 주력인 7,100톤급 세종대왕급 구축함과 비슷한 성능을 갖출 전망이다.
