폴 찬 모포 홍콩 재무장관은 일요일, 홍콩이 휴머노이드 로봇이 운영하는 첫 편의점 개설 계획을 포함해 인공지능(AI) 개발을 적극 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.
찬 장관은 블로그를 통해 샌디 리지 데이터 시설 클러스터가 건설 중이며 2032년까지 현재 용량의 36배에 달하는 18만 PFLOPS(페타플롭스)의 컴퓨팅 자원을 제공할 것으로 예상된다고 언급했다. 인공지능 보조금 제도(Artificial Intelligence Subsidy Scheme)는 이미 거대언어모델(LLM) 및 체화 지능(Embodied Intelligence) 분야를 포함한 30개 이상의 프로젝트를 승인했다. 또한 'AI+ 및 산업 발전 전략 위원회'가 구성되어 이번 달 첫 회의를 개최할 예정이다. 홍콩은 조만간 체화 AI에 집중하는 중국 본토 기업의 휴머노이드 로봇이 운영하는 24시간 편의점을 홍함(Hung Hom) 지역에 개설할 예정이며, 이는 본토 밖에서는 첫 사례가 된다.
