KedaiKOPI survey: 88.8 percent satisfied with 2026 mudik services

A KedaiKOPI survey indicates 88.8 percent of respondents are satisfied with the government's handling of 2026 Eid mudik services, with an average score of 7.18 out of 10. Satisfaction covers public transportation fleets and overall mudik infrastructure and management policies. KedaiKOPI Head of Research Ashma Nur Afifah said respondents were quite satisfied with the services provided.

Jakarta, VIVA – KedaiKOPI's annual survey on the 2026 Eid mudik implementation found 88.8 percent respondent satisfaction with government services. The average satisfaction score was 7.18 on a scale of 1 to 10.

"From a scale of 1 to 10, we obtained a score of 7.18. From that scale, we can categorize that mudik respondents were quite satisfied with the services or mudik management carried out by the government," said Ashma Nur Afifah during the survey presentation, as quoted from the official press release.

Satisfaction was measured across two main aspects: public transportation fleet services and mudik infrastructure along with management policies. In transportation, comfort of bus, train, and official travel fleets received the highest ratings. However, complaints included low terminal bus comfort, train ticket quota availability dropping from 84.8 percent to 76.1 percent, and waiting comfort at travel pools.

For sea ferries, the boarding queue process was most appreciated, while ticket purchase queue orderliness at ports was lowest. Airplane users praised in-cabin comfort but complained about ticket availability, though it rose to 80 percent from 76.2 percent last year.

Meanwhile, road infrastructure satisfaction reached 91-92 percent, with entry to toll roads (92.7 percent) and toll road safety and lighting (92.2 percent) scoring highest.
