Ruto anuncia financiamento de 2,4 bilhões de xelins para parques industriais nos condados

O presidente William Ruto anunciou um plano governamental de 2,4 bilhões de xelins para estabelecer instalações de uso comum em parques industriais e de agregação nos condados de todo o país.

O anúncio foi feito em 28 de maio no Palácio do Governo durante a assinatura de um acordo para a criação dos parques. Ruto afirmou que o financiamento será incluído no próximo orçamento nacional.

Cada um dos 47 condados do Quênia deverá receber entre 100 milhões e 150 milhões de xelins para equipamentos compartilhados de processamento e embalagem. As instalações visam micro, pequenas e médias empresas do setor agrícola.

Ruto declarou que o lançamento está programado para julho de 2025. O plano visa reduzir as perdas pós-colheita e melhorar a apresentação de produtos locais.
