Dólar cai para R$ 4,997 com cessar-fogo entre Irã e EUA

A cotação do dólar frente ao real caiu para R$ 4,997, patamar não visto desde o início de 2024, impulsionada pelo cessar-fogo entre Irã e Estados Unidos anunciado em 7 de abril. Analistas atribuem o movimento à redução da aversão ao risco global e ao retorno de fluxos para mercados emergentes como o Brasil. Apesar disso, eleições de 2026 e contas públicas geram cautela.

O dólar rompeu o piso de R$ 5 e atingiu R$ 4,997, segundo especialistas consultados pela Folha de S.Paulo. Esse patamar remete ao começo de 2024, apesar das contas públicas brasileiras sob pressão e do pico de R$ 6,27 alcançado em dezembro de 2024.

O principal fator foi o cessar-fogo entre Irã e Estados Unidos, em 7 de abril, que diminuiu a aversão ao risco e incentivou a rotação de investimentos para emergentes. Desde que Donald Trump reassumiu a Casa Branca no início de 2025, o dólar acumula queda de 18,9% ante o real. A Selic em 14,75%, contra 3,5%-3,75% nos EUA, favorece o carry trade.

"Investidores estrangeiros buscam exposição a mercados emergentes com menor exposição ao risco", diz Lucca Bezzon, da StoneX. Gustavo Sung, da Suno Research, destaca o diferencial de juros elevado.

Ainda assim, gestores alertam para riscos eleitorais em 2026. Paula Zogbi, da Nomad, afirma: "A discussão sobre os gastos públicos brasileiros não diminuiu de importância". O Boletim Focus projeta dólar em R$ 5,37 no fim de 2026 e Selic em 12,50%.
