Huduma Kenya announced service disruptions at its GPO Centre in Nairobi's CBD on April 20. The issues also hit Huduma Contact and the Tele-Counselling Centre, where an official notice stated, "Huduma Kenya wishes to inform our esteemed customers that services at our Huduma Contact and Tele-Counselling Centre, Huduma Centre GPO and several other Huduma Centres are experiencing intermittent service disruption."
The GPO Centre serves as the headquarters overseeing all 59 Huduma Kenya services nationwide. Affected services include national ID card applications, replacements and collection, passport applications, document verification, business registration, licensing and renewals, as well as NHIF, NSSF, KRA PIN updates, and birth or death certificate processing.
These disruptions inconvenience Kenyans relying on the centres for travel, jobs and business needs. "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused," Huduma Kenya said, adding it understands the impact on citizens.
The agency assured the public that technical teams are working urgently to restore all services. This follows similar eCitizen portal login issues reported a few months ago.
