Chirchir anakanusha uhusiano wa Chivayo na mradi wa upanuzi wa JKIA

Waziri wa Usafiri Davis Chirchir amekanusha madai ya kuhusisha mfanyabiashara Wicknell Chivayo na mradi wa upanuzi wa JKIA wenye thamani ya shilingi bilioni 154.2.

Akizungumza katika mkutano na waandishi wa habari Jijini Nairobi Alhamisi, Chirchir alisema kampuni ya IMC Construction haikushiriki katika zabuni wala kuunda muungano wowote.

Alisisitiza kuwa taratibu zote za ununuzi zilifanywa kwa uwazi na kufuata Sheria ya Ununuzi wa Umma na Utupaji wa Mali.

Chirchir alikosoa ripoti zinazozungumzia gharama ya shilingi bilioni 375, akisema serikali haitazami tuzo la mkataba kuzidi shilingi bilioni 154.2.

Alifichua kuwa serikali inafanya kazi na Trade Development Bank na Africa Finance Corporation kupanga ufadhili, huku kazi zikitarajiwa kukamilika ndani ya miaka mitatu baada ya mkataba kutolewa.
