Hekima ya Hazina inapokea Ksh 103.45 bilioni kutoka kwa uuzaji wa sehemu ya KPC

Hekima ya Taifa ya Kenya imepokea rasmi Ksh 103.45 bilioni, mapato kutoka kwa uuzaji wa sehemu ya hisa za Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC). Mamlaka ya Uuzaji wa mali za Serikali iliwasilisha fedha hizo kwa bodi yake kwa kumudu hatua muhimu katika mpango wa uuzaji mali za serikali. Waziri Mkuu John Mbadi alisisitiza kujitolea kwa serikali kwa uwazi na uwajibikaji.

Bodi ya Mamlaka ya Uuzaji wa mali za Serikali iliwasilisha hundi rasmi kwa Hekima ya Taifa, ikiashiria mafanikio ya IPO ya kwanza ya kielektroniki (eIPO) nchini Kenya.

"Tunasherehekea tukio la pekee leo, ambapo bodi yetu ya wakurugenzi inawasilisha rasmi mapato kutoka kwa IPO ya KPC kwa Hekima," ilisema mamlaka hiyo. "Imekuwa safari nzuri iliyopelekea mafanikio ya eIPO ya kwanza, na tunaangalia mustakabali wa umiliki mbalimbali zaidi wa mali za serikali," iliongeza.

Waziri Mkuu John Mbadi alipokea hundi hiyo, akisema inaashiria kujitolea kwa serikali kwa uwazi, wazi na uwajibikaji wa rasilimali za umma. "Katika roho ya uwazi, uwazi na uwajibikaji wa rasilimali za umma, ninafuraha kupokea hundi bandia inayowakilisha jumla ya mapato ya IPO ya KPC iliyowekwa kwenye akaunti ya Mfuko wa Miundombinu ya Taifa," alisema.

Uwasilishaji ulifanyika saa chache baada ya Hekima kufuta hadhi ya KPC kama chombo cha serikali kupitia tangazo la gazeti tarehe 22 Aprili. Serikali iliuza asilimia 65 ya hisa, ikibaki na 35, huku Wanakenya wakununua zaidi ya asilimia 67 ya hisa zilizouzwa, na Uganda na Rwanda pia wakishiriki.

Fedha zitapelekwa Mfuko wa Miundombinu ya Taifa (NIF) kwa miradi kama upanuzi wa Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Jomo Kenyatta, utakaanza Juni.
