Bei ya mafuta inauma sana, lakini angalia karibu, tu shukuru Mungu pamoja kuwa mko vizuri zaidi. Sikia wale nchini Kenya, nchi zingine za Afrika, unachopitia," alisema Tinubu.

Wakenya wengi wamelalamika mtandaoni, wakimtuhumu kuwa anacheka nchi yao bila sababu. Mmoja wa watumiaji mtandaoni alisema, "Kenya inaweza kuwa vizuri mara elfu moja kama tungekuwa na mafuta kama Nigeria. Bado tuko vizuri mara elfu nyingi kuliko Nigeria yenye mafuta yake."

Wanigeria nao wameonyesha wasiwasi juu ya mgogoro wao wenyewe, wakisema bei za mafuta zimesababisha kuongezeka kwa nauli za usafiri na bei za chakula. Wamelalamika kuwa kulinganisha na Kenya hakushughulikii matatizo yao ya kweli.

Hii inakuja wakati Kenya inakabiliwa na changamoto za mafuta zinazosababishwa na vita vya Mashariki ya Kati. Hata hivyo, Kampuni ya Mabomba ya Kenya (KPC) ilithibitisha Aprili 8, 2026, kuwa akiba zake zimeshindikana.
