Pia, zawadi za medali za atletiki zimepanda: dhahabu Ksh3 milioni, fedha Ksh2 milioni, na shaba Ksh1 milioni. Kwa Michezo ya Jumuiya ya Madola, dhahabu itakuwa Ksh2.5 milioni, fedha Ksh1.5 milioni, na shaba Ksh1 milioni.

Ruto alitangaza kuanzishwa kwa Akademia za Michezo za Jimbo ili kutafuta na kukuza talanta kwenye ngazi ya msingi. "Lengo ni kuwapa vijana fursa ya mafunzo bora, vifaa vya kisasa, na njia wazi za kuingia kwenye michezo ya kitaalamu," alisema. Sawe alikuwa mpokeaji wa kwanza wa zawadi hizi, akipokea hundi mbili za Ksh5 milioni na Ksh3 milioni. Rais alimpa pia sahani ya namba ya gari iliyobadilishwa yenye nambari 1:59:30 kuwakomolea rekodi yake ya kihistoria.
