中国周二开通首条零碳江海联运航线，全电动集装箱船宁远电鹏号从嘉兴港启航前往宁波舟山港。
宁远电鹏号长127.8米，宽21.6米，容量为742个标准箱。该船由10个标准化集装箱式电池组驱动，总储能容量约2万千瓦时。
该船预计每年可节省约800吨燃料，并减少2000多吨二氧化碳排放。浙江海事局表示，新航线建立了零排放运输系统。
据该局估计，沿该航线运输的每个集装箱将减少约60公斤碳排放，航线每年预计可减少约4800吨碳排放。
