Nvidia has released DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution to all owners of GeForce RTX GPUs through a new app update. The update features an improved transformer AI model that enhances image quality and reduces artifacts. Additional Control Panel features are also being integrated into the Nvidia app.
Nvidia began rolling out version 11.0.6 of its app on January 14, 2026, making DLSS 4.5 available to all RTX GPU owners. This follows a beta release earlier in the month, marking the full deployment of the technology.
The core of DLSS 4.5 is Nvidia's second-generation Super Resolution transformer model, trained on an expanded dataset. It aims to boost image clarity and stability, particularly in DLSS Performance and Ultra Performance modes, while addressing artifacting issues from the previous DLSS 4 version.
For RTX 50-series GPUs, DLSS 4.5 introduces upcoming features like 6x Multi Frame Generation and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, though these will not launch until spring 2026.
Beyond DLSS, the update incorporates Nvidia Surround settings from the legacy Control Panel, including bezel correction and hotkeys. This continues Nvidia's multi-year effort to consolidate the Control Panel and GeForce Experience into a unified Nvidia app, streamlining user experience for gamers and creators.
Users can receive the update automatically through the app or download it manually from Nvidia's website. Enabling DLSS 4.5 requires the latest Game Ready driver. This release underscores Nvidia's ongoing push to advance AI-driven graphics enhancements across its RTX lineup.
