تحدث رئيس الوزراء أبي أحمد عن إدارة الديون في إثيوبيا خلال كلمة ألقاها أمام مجلس نواب الشعب.

طرح رئيس الوزراء أبي أحمد نقاطاً رئيسية خلال الاجتماع العادي الثلاثين للفترة الخامسة لمجلس نواب الشعب، حيث صرح بأن إثيوبيا لا تحتاج إلى ديون تجارية من أجل التنمية. قبل عامين، كانت قد أثيرت قضية السندات الدولية (اليوروبوند). وأشار رئيس الوزراء إلى أن إثيوبيا توصلت إلى اتفاقيات مع العديد من الدائنين وخفضت ديونها من أكثر من 50 بالمئة إلى أقل من 45 بالمئة. وأضاف أن هذا الإنجاز أكسب البلاد ثقة المؤسسات المالية، مشيراً إلى توقيع اتفاقيات مع دول مجموعة العشرين. كما أكد أن الاقتراض المحلي سيستمر مع التركيز على التأكد من القدرة على السداد.
