أطلقت شركة سبيس إكس نسخة مطورة من صاروخها ستارشيب في أول رحلة تجريبية له يوم الجمعة من جنوب تكساس، حيث حقق هبوطاً ناجحاً في المحيط الهندي بعد رحلة استمرت لأكثر من ساعة.
انطلق الصاروخ البالغ ارتفاعه 408 أقدام في الساعة 5:30 مساءً بتوقيت وسط أمريكا من قاعدة ستاربايس ووصل إلى ارتفاع أقصى بلغ 121 ميلاً. وقام بنشر 20 نموذجاً تجريبياً لأقمار ستارلينك الصناعية، كما استعرض نظام حمولة مطوراً قبل إعادة الدخول والهبوط في الموقع المستهدف، حيث أدى الدرع الحراري والزعانف أداءً جيداً طوال عملية الهبوط.

South Korea's Compact Advanced Satellite (CAS) 500-2 successfully launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
