أعدت بلدية أوبسالا خطة تفصيلية لمحطة السكك الحديدية الجديدة في بيرغسبرونا جنوب المدينة. وقررت لجنة التخطيط والبناء يوم الخميس إرسال الخطة للتشاور بدءاً من 8 مايو. ومن المقرر أن تستوعب المحطة 30 ألف مسافر يومياً عند افتتاحها في عام 2034.

قررت لجنة التخطيط والبناء في بلدية أوبسالا خلال اجتماعها يوم الخميس إرسال الخطة التفصيلية لمحطة بيرغسبرونا للتشاور. تبدأ فترة التشاور في 8 مايو وتستمر لمدة ستة أسابيع. تغطي الخطة مبنى المحطة والرصيف وممراً فوق السكك الحديدية، مما يمثل أول خطة من نوعها للمناطق الجنوبية الشرقية.

سيبلغ ارتفاع مبنى المحطة ستة أمتار على الجانب الغربي من المسارات وحوالي 24 متراً على الجانب الشرقي. وتقوم مصلحة النقل السويدية (Trafikverket) بإنشاء المحطة كجزء من توسيع الخط ليشمل أربعة مسارات بين ستوكهولم وأوبسالا بموجب اتفاقية المسارات الأربعة (fyrspårsavtalet). وتساهم بلدية أوبسالا في تمويل المشروع.

كما تقوم بلدية أوبسالا ومنطقة أوبسالا ببناء خط ترام لربط المحطة بالمناطق الجنوبية ووسط المدينة. ومن المقرر الانتهاء من المحطة والأجزاء المتبقية من مشروع أوبسالا للمسارات الأربعة في عام 2034، بسعة تصل إلى 30 ألف مسافر يومياً.
