DO investigates municipality in southern Dalarna after complaint over denied student support

The Discrimination Ombudsman has launched an investigation against a municipality in southern Dalarna. The reason is a complaint that a middle school student with a disability did not receive the support the student was entitled to.

According to the complaint, the lack of support led to the student receiving an F in one subject. This resulted in the student not getting into their first-choice high school.

The relatives who filed the complaint believe the municipality failed in its responsibility toward the student with a disability.

The investigation is now underway at DO to examine the circumstances surrounding the denied assistance.
