Epra beginnt Überprüfung der Stromtarife für 2026-2029

Die Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority kündigte die Überprüfung am 24. Mai an. Die Kenya Power and Lighting Company reichte den Antrag im Namen von GDC, KenGen, KETRACO und REREC gemäß Abschnitt 11(b) des Energiegesetzes ein. Öffentliche Foren wurden vom 25. Mai verschoben. Sie sind nun für Juni angesetzt: am 15. in Kisumu, am 16. in Eldoret, am 17. in Nakuru, am 18. in Nyeri, am 19. in Nairobi, am 22. in Garissa und am 24. in Mombasa. Die Behörde erklärte, dass die Konsultationen es der Öffentlichkeit und den Interessengruppen ermöglichen werden, ihre Ansichten vor einer endgültigen Entscheidung einzureichen. Die Überprüfung folgt darauf, dass die EPRA die Gebühren für den Abrechnungszeitraum Mai um mehr als einen Schilling pro Einheit erhöht hatte.
