BJP in Tripura feiert Wahlsieg bei Nachwahl im Wahlkreis Dharmanagar

Die regierende BJP in Tripura feierte einen entscheidenden Sieg bei der Nachwahl für die gesetzgebende Versammlung in Dharmanagar. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha führte einen Siegeszug in Agartala an. Die Partei konnte zudem Erfolge in Westbengalen und Assam verzeichnen.

Am Montag feierte die regierende BJP in Tripura den überzeugenden Sieg der Partei bei der Nachwahl zum Wahlkreis Dharmanagar im Norden Tripuras. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, seine Ministerkollegen und Parteiführer nahmen an einem Siegeszug in Agartala teil. Die Saffron-Partei konnte den Sitz in Dharmanagar verteidigen, wobei ihr Kandidat Jahar Chakraborti den CPI(M)-Kandidaten Amitabha Datta mit über 18.000 Stimmen Vorsprung besiegte. Chakraborti erhielt in dem Mehrparteien-Wettbewerb insgesamt 24.009 Stimmen. Die Feierlichkeiten markierten auch die Erfolge der BJP in Westbengalen und Assam, wobei der Schwerpunkt jedoch auf dem Ergebnis in Dharmanagar lag.
