El ministro de Seguridad Pública, Martín Arrau, se pronunció tras revelarse que el hombre detenido por conducir a 264 km/h en la Costanera Norte es primo de su esposa.

El domingo por la tarde un hombre de 38 años fue detenido en la comuna de Vitacura tras manejar a 264 kilómetros por hora en la autopista Costanera Norte, donde el límite es de 100 km/h. El medio Fast Check reveló que el conductor es primo de Luz María Izquierdo Irarrázaval, esposa del ministro Arrau.

A través de sus redes sociales, Arrau afirmó: “Al igual que todos los chilenos, condeno categóricamente el actuar indolente, temerario y nefasto del imputado, con quien no tengo relación de amistad ni cercanía”. Agregó que “conductas como las de este sujeto deben ser sancionadas con todo el rigor de la ley”.

La jueza Ximena Rivera del Cuarto Juzgado de Garantía de Santiago rechazó el arresto domiciliario solicitado por la Fiscalía. El imputado quedó en libertad con firma mensual y arraigo nacional, pese a antecedentes previos por conducir ebrio.
