Congreso inicia periodo extraordinario para revisar reformas judiciales

El Congreso mexicano se alista para un periodo extraordinario de sesiones que iniciará el martes 26 de mayo, donde se discutirán reformas al sistema de justicia enviadas por la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum.

La presidenta del Senado, Laura Itzel Castillo Juárez, informó que la Sesión de Congreso General instalará el Primer Periodo Extraordinario el martes 26 de mayo. La Cámara de Diputados actuará como Cámara de origen y el Senado como revisora.

El paquete principal incluye una reforma constitucional para aplazar la segunda elección judicial federal y local de 2027 a 2028. También se analizará una reforma a la Ley General de Instituciones y Procedimientos Electorales para crear un órgano dentro del INE que revise la probidad de candidatos postulados por partidos.

Además, ambas cámaras discutirán iniciativas para establecer como causa de nulidad electoral la injerencia extranjera demostrada. El periodo extraordinario coincide con la Asamblea Parlamentaria Euro Latinoamericana que se realizará en el Senado del 26 al 28 de mayo.
