Egipto prepara la segunda fase del programa país de la OCDE

El ministro de Planificación, Ahmed Rostom, participó en una reunión del Comité de Relaciones Exteriores de la OCDE para examinar la cooperación entre Egipto y la organización. Calificó la asociación como estratégica y de larga duración, señalando los hitos alcanzados desde 2005 y el programa de reforma económica de Egipto de 2016.

La primera fase del programa país concluyó con una conferencia de clausura en El Cairo el 4 de mayo, a la que asistió el primer ministro Mostafa Madbouly. Se presentaron diez informes estratégicos que abarcan la innovación, la inversión, el crecimiento ecológico y otras prioridades.

Egipto encabeza ahora las consultas sobre la segunda fase, que se centrará en reformas más profundas en materia de competitividad, gobernanza y desarrollo del sector privado. El país también ocupa puestos de copresidencia en iniciativas regionales de la OCDE hasta 2030.
