Grupo Mutua eleva participación en Seguros del Estado al 100%

El Consejo de Administración de Grupo Mutua aprobó adquirir el 55% restante de Seguros del Estado y Seguros de Vida del Estado, alcanzando el control total de ambas compañías.

La operación se cerrará en el último trimestre de 2026 tras el visto bueno de las sociedades de inversión colombianas propietarias del porcentaje restante. Mutua asumirá la presidencia de la junta directiva una vez completada la transacción.

Las dos aseguradoras generaron más de 400 millones de dólares en primas durante 2025 y representan el 6% del mercado de seguros generales en Colombia. El grupo español mantendrá las marcas actuales y el equipo de 1.400 empleados.

Mutua entró como accionista minoritario en junio de 2020 y ya controla el 60% de BCI Seguros en Chile. La compra forma parte de su plan estratégico para expandirse fuera de España con inversiones en tecnología y diversificación de productos.
