Huduma Kenya cites technical glitches for identity card delays

Huduma Kenya has blamed ongoing system challenges for delays in issuing identity cards. The agency advised applicants to visit centres for updates instead of checking online status.

Huduma Kenya attributed the delays to technical issues affecting its system. The problems have prevented real-time status updates and slowed the release of documents.

The agency said it is currently experiencing challenges with the system. It urged those waiting on applications to visit the station where they applied.

Huduma Kenya recently announced the release of various documents. Its centres hold 178,939 uncollected national IDs along with birth certificates and smart driving licences.
