La CPI concede la solicitud de retirada del abogado de Duterte

La Corte Penal Internacional ha aprobado la retirada de Nicholas Kaufman como abogado defensor principal del expresidente filipino Rodrigo Duterte. La Sala de Cuestiones Preliminares III emitió una decisión de cinco páginas en la que afirma que el cambio no causa perjuicio ni inconvenientes.

Los jueces de primera instancia de la CPI aceptaron la solicitud de Kaufman después de que este les informara el pasado viernes de que Duterte planeaba designar a un nuevo abogado. La identidad del reemplazo permanece sin revelarse. Kaufman había sido contratado por un periodo de un año que finalizó el 31 de marzo.
