Madrid limitará la tarjeta de transporte a empadronados desde el 15 de junio

La Comunidad de Madrid aplicará desde el lunes 15 de junio la obligatoriedad de estar empadronado en la región para obtener o renovar la Tarjeta de Transporte Público Personal.

La medida, publicada este viernes en el Boletín Oficial de la Comunidad de Madrid, restringe la expedición de la TTP a residentes en municipios de la región o en zonas tarifarias E1 y E2. Los solicitantes deberán presentar un certificado de empadronamiento o autorizar su consulta.

El Gobierno regional ha precisado que la norma desarrolla la Ley del Consorcio Regional de Transportes y que el 94 % de la financiación del transporte recae sobre la Comunidad y los ayuntamientos madrileños. Fuentes de la Consejería de Transportes han asegurado que "resulta lógico que estas ayudas beneficien prioritariamente a quienes las sostienen con sus impuestos".

La restricción no tendrá carácter retroactivo y afectará a un 3,4 % de los usuarios. Se mantienen los convenios con Castilla-La Mancha y Castilla y León, así como las excepciones para familias numerosas.
