El gobierno de Claudia Sheinbaum anunció medidas de vigilancia en aeropuertos ante el brote de ébola en África, sin imponer restricciones de vuelo.

Durante la mañanera del 25 de mayo, el secretario de Salud David Kershenobich detalló que México no restringirá el ingreso de personas provenientes de la República Democrática del Congo, Uganda y Sudán del Sur.

En su lugar, se aplicarán filtros sanitarios, revisiones de itinerarios y se recomendará un aislamiento de 21 días antes de viajar. Si se detecta sospecha de contagio, se registrarán datos del pasajero y se realizará contacto telefónico cada 24 horas.

Kershenobich señaló que el riesgo de propagación en México es muy bajo y que no hay casos sospechosos en el país. Las autoridades seguirán las actualizaciones de la OMS sobre el brote que ha dejado más de 220 muertes sospechosas en Congo.

El anuncio se da previo al partido de la selección congoleña en Guadalajara el 23 de junio, como parte de los preparativos para el Mundial 2026.
